2020-2025 Community Plan
In 2019, the Chief and Council initiated a process to develop a five-year strategic plan for Abegweit First Nation, focusing on social, economic, and environmental priorities.
Master Land Use Plan
In 2022, the Chief and Council initiated a process to create a 3D land use and infrastructure plan that sets forth community development objectives over the next 10 years.
Community Land Use Plan
Our lands carry the teachings of our ancestors. They hold our stories, our medicines, our language, and our identity as a people. As we continue to grow, develop, and plan for the future, it is essential that the choices we make respect these teachings. This document reflects not only our vision for how we use and protect our lands today, but also our responsibility to protect our lands for the next seven generations.
