Programs & Services

Our Employment Services Program operates under a contribution agreement between the Mi’kmaq Confederacy of PEI (our tribal council) and Employment and Social Development Canada. The program provides employment-based services to all Indigenous people living on PEI including status and non-status First Nations, Métis, and Inuit peoples. As a client-focused program, the emphasis is on providing supports and training clients need to return to work and progress within their career. The Employment Services Program partners with various employers, training institutions, and government departments to develop meaningful training initiatives and hands-on career exploration experiences. Services are delivered in both urban and rural locations, with service sites in Abegweit, Charlottetown, Summerside and Lennox Island.
