The mission at our Mi’kmaq Wellness Centre is to build a healthier First Nation community by improving the health and safety of the people we serve. We recognize that our community’s needs are best met by teams of health care professionals working in collaboration with individuals and families. Our interdisciplinary team at our Mi’kmaq Wellness Centres includes registered nurses, licenses practical nurses, community health representatives, a registered dietician, an additions counsellor, a visiting doctor, and other visiting professionals. This team offers a variety of programs and services using a culturally sensitive and holistic framework. These services are highlighted below.
